Founder: Nancy Twine
Nancy launched Briogeo in order to bring clean, non-toxic hair products to customers with different hair types and textures. While at Goldman Sachs, Nancy's mother was hit and killed by a car. Both her mother and her grandmother taught Nancy how to make products with natural ingredients, and Nancy's mother had just developed a natural face cream that she hoped to take to market. Inspired by her mother and grandmother, Nancy began researching the beauty business and testing hundreds of formulas.
Briogeo sells hair care products via its website as well as through select salons and retailers, including Sephora. Its prestige products are formulated to achieve visible results, yet use natural ingredients and do not contain sulfates, silicones, phthalates, parabens, DEA, or artificial dyes. Briogeo targets customers by hair texture (wavy, curly, dry, thin) vs. ethnicity and offers something for everyone, from repair to volume.
"We should treat our hair the same way we treat our skin; by nurturing it with ingredients that detoxify, hydrate, and protect." - Nancy
