Founder: Trinity Mouzon Wofford

Trinity founded Golde at the age of 23 with a mission to make wellness more fresh, approachable, and inclusive. Trinity was raised in upstate New York by a single parent who had an autoimmune disease. She noticed that when her mom started taking a more holistic approach to her health, it made a big difference in how she felt. While at NYU, Trinity became obsessed with combining holistic health, wellness, and beauty. After graduating, Trinity started her career doing marketing for a tech startup, during which time she decided to launch Golde with her longtime boyfriend, Issey Kobori, who is now the creative director. Issey's parents own and operate a candle company, which helped to provide the first time founders with insights into entrepreneurship and small business operations. The team started by hand-blending Golde's first product in the kitchen of their Brooklyn apartment.

Golde makes superfood-boosted health and beauty products. Its offering includes both edibles and topicals, from turmeric latte powders to face masks. The company sells its products direct-to-consumer on its website as well as through major retailers, such as Goop and Sephora. Many of the products are a result of Trinity experimenting with superfoods and finding out what works first-hand. She believes that being well should feel good, and that wellness products should look good, taste good, and not break the bank.

"More than anything, I’m grateful for the absurdly loving and supportive community that’s formed organically around our brand. There’s really nothing more special than hearing from someone about how your work helps them to feel like their best self. That’s pure magic." - Trinity
