Founders: Jordana Kier and Alex Friedman
Jordana first came up with the concept for LOLA while at Columbia Business School. Right before graduating she met up with Alex, who was working in tech, and bounced the idea off of her. The two discovered a shared passion and started working on the startup together. Initially, Jordana and Alex were just focused on creating a subscription tampon service, but when they researched existing brands on the market, they learned that feminine care co.s weren't required to disclose exactly what they put in their products. Since consumers care about everything else they put in their bodies, Jordana and Alex realized that they had a real opportunity to create the trusted and transparent feminine care company.
LOLA launched ~5 years ago selling tampons that are 100% cotton, hypoallergenic, and don't contain synthetics, chemicals, or dyes. Customers are also able to easily tailor absorbency assortment and frequency of deliveries to fit their unique schedules. Since then, LOLA has expanded its offering and is now a lifelong brand for women's reproductive care. The co. sells tampons, pads, liners, multivitamins & essential oils for cramps, condoms, lubricant, cleansing wipes, guides, kits, and accessories. LOLA continues to differentiate itself through its quality ingredients, customizable boxes, modern convenience, and honest communication. It has truly raised the standard for feminine care companies.
“We founded LOLA with a simple and seemingly obvious idea – as women, we shouldn’t have to compromise when it comes to our reproductive health. Like most women, we’d been using the same feminine care products since we were teenagers." - Jordana
